To figure the total number of poly bags needed for your project:
Multiply the total sq ft by .33 for a 1.5” depth

For Large jobs using Bulk

To figure the total poundage needed for your project:
Multiply the total sq ft by 11.5 for a 1.5” depth

SAMPLE JOB

The frontage of your home is 55' wide and you would like to put a 3' border around the front. You have an area that is 3' x 55'.

Your total sq ft is 3 x 55 = 165 sq ft
If you use poly bags, you will need 55 poly bags — 165sq ft x .33 = 54.5
55 poly bags @ a cost of $3.99 ea. is $219.45

If you use bulk, you will need1,898 lbs — 165sq ft x 11.5 = 1,898 lbs
